NSW Solar Battery Rebate

Smart Home Battery Scheme

For homeowners in the Hills District of Sydney, the Smart Home Battery Scheme offers up to $4,000 in savings when you purchase and install a solar power system and battery. If you're receiving the Low Income Household Rebate, you may be eligible to swap this rebate for a free 3kW solar system, potentially saving up to $600 annually in energy costs.

To qualify, you must:

Be a current recipient of the Low Income Household Rebate
Agree to forgo the rebate for 10 years
Hold a valid Pensioner Concession Card or Department of Veterans’ Affairs Gold Card
Own and live in your home
Not already have a solar PV system
Live within selected NSW locations
